Aaron M. Keel, Environmental Services & Consulting

Mr. Keel is a Principal of EnviroProjects, LLC, which was hired to fulfill and satisfy the state and federal permitting requirements of The HUB at La Plata’s necessary Rosewick Road Extension, a four-lane highway with three major stream crossings. Its plans successfully addressed – through the use of best practices and regulations – federal and state approvals, local codes and requirements, and stream-restoration mitigation plans, which will avoid major disturbances to sensitive resources. Mr. Keel’s role was crucial to move the project forward because without these permits regarding the transportation grid and new road, the project would not have progressed to this point.

“It is increasingly clear that the residents, newcomers, and visitors to the town of La Plata and Charles County value the region’s unique natural assets and that state and federal oversight agencies are demanding the highest levels of environmental protections and mitigation for impacts. We understood and embraced The HUB at La Plata’s goal to build a mixed-used, compact, walkable and attractive development that is in sync with the town of La Plata’s character and its vision for growth. This mandated well-planned development and comprehensive environmental reviews of the new arterial road and mitigation with less environmental impact than similar roads built elsewhere today.”
